Ladybird's Reading Dads Campaign

Reading Dads campaign

Ladybird are launching a Fathers Day Campaign this weekend - Reading Dads - to encourage Dads to get reading with their kids in a fun and interactive way and are working with family favourite, Richard Hammond and the NSPCC to support the initative.

This is very much a read aloud campaign and Richard has recorded a fantastic version of Three Billy Goats Gruff which is available to download on the Reading Dads website (check it out at www.ladybird.com/readingdads). Ladybird are hoping this will inspire lots of other Dads to follow in his footsteps and become a Reading Idol by recording their own stories and uploading them to the site to be in with a chance of winning a fantastic family weekend break at Alton Towers.

Reading Dads events are running nationwide in Borders stores this weekend to celebrate Father's Day which will be full of storytellings, activities and free Divine chocolate for every child. As well as this they've also set up a special event in Borders Islington where Borders TV will be stationed to capture Dads on film reading their favourite fairytales. This is every dads' chance to test out their reading prowess and be a Reading Idol for the day.

The Reading Dads website also provides top tips and you can view all the Reading Idol videos - www.readingdads.co.uk
