The first three books of this series are called Choking Wolf, Injured Spider and Melting Snowman. Based at City Hospital, the books follow Doctor Glenda and Nurse Percy as they go about their work each day, helping a variety of people such as a wolf, spider and a snowman!

Each book has large pictures and easy to read text suitable for first readers going from learning words to reading stories. The characters are easy to like and the children found them appealing and liked the fact that the Doctor and Nurse featured in each book.
