Never Mind the Botox is a series about four professional women working on the sale of a cosmetic surgery.  Each story shows how they cope with this glamourous but difficult sale while also having a personal life.  This is the story of Alex.

This is definitely a book for women who like their historical romantic novels, which wasn't necessarily me, but it was an enjoyable book. Very light and pleasant to read, you just knew you were going to get a happy ending at the end, but weren't sure what was going to happen first.

Bea, Kate and Ellen are three best friends, sticking together through thick and thin and then a man arrives that puts their friendship at risk.

Nikki Grant is a headstrong teenager whose parents are horrified when they find out she is pregnant by Spencer, the boyfriend they disapprove of even though they have never met him, but luckily Nikki has a loyal group of friends around her to help her through some really dark days. 

This was a lovely story of friendship which stood the test of time. I guessed the twist in the story but still didn’t stop me wanting to carry on reading to see what eventually happened. When best friends Dee Campbell and Jean Williams leave school in 1959, it feels like every opportunity awaits them.
