Many supermarkets now have a home delivery section distributing to most areas of the UK. Most charge a fee of around £4 to £6 but sometimes it's free when you spend over a certain amount. You can choose your delivery slot, ranging from one hour to two hour allocations but beware of busy periods such as Christmas, Easter and Bank Holidays when you will need to book a long way in advance.

Should any product not be in stock they will substitute it with what they believe is the best alternative, however, you will be informed about this when they arrive and you are under no obligation to take it. It will be deducted from your bill there and then.

For many of us we have concerns about the environment and like to feel that we are making a difference. The same applies here, not only are you saving on fuel, most supermarkets will ask you to keep the plastic bags that you delivery arrives in and give them back to them next time for recycling - perfect!
