One of our favourite mother's day breakfasts has to be french toast - especially if it's served on a tray after a lie-in. The MKB team have perfected this recipe for you (or hopefully your family) to make....

 

 

 

 

 

 

Time to table - 20 minutes

 

6 thick slices of white bread

2 eggs

2/3 cup of milk

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp vanilla essence

 

Beat the egg, milk, spices and vanilla.

Heat a teaspoon of oil or butter in a griddle or frying pan

Dunk each side of the sliced bread into the eggy mixture and place it in the warm pan. Sizzle gently until golden and serve with a sprinkling of icing sugar, oodles of syrup and a big smile....
