Recipe of the Week - Gooey Breakfast Porridge


A wonderful breakfast packed with vitamins, low GI for energy and really, tasty.

Make this the night before so it’s really gooey by the time it hits the bowl.

Makes 4

Tip about 8oz (or enough dry porridge oats for four hungry people) into a bowl. Pour in just enough apple juice to cover the oats. Leave in the fridge overnight. In the morning, the oats will be soaked in the juice and lovely and gooey. Now you can use your imagination. Stir in yoghurt or honey, chopped banana, grated apple, winter berries, nuts or chocolate chips!

It’s a really lovely alternative to hot porridge and you know it’s good for you.
