Lifting

My daughter has been potty trained for six months now and her night nappy has been dry every night for several weeks (she's nearly three). I'm contemplating stopping putting her in nappies but am a bit nervous about lifting. She sleeps well but has never been much of a moveable child, once the car/buggy stops she wakes etc. Has anyone any tips on lifting? Is it better to do it later or earlier in the evening? How do you stop them waking fully? I have visions of her waking, having had a couple of hours kip and being full of beans!

Got to agree

Got to agree with the others on this too, lifting isn't a great idea in the long term. It's sometimes a good idea when first starting off, but if she's already dry at night for a while it may be going back a step. The waterproof sheets a good idea though, as they can start wetting if they're not well or upset about something.

I agree

I agree! If she's that good now, just leave her to it... Lifting is a real chore too, if you can escape it then do!

Don't lift

Hello! Don't lift! If she's dry all night with nappies, then just take nappies off (and make sure there is a waterproof sheet underneath just in case. We were just the same with DD1. Have never lifted. Have had maybe 3 wet beds in oh probably 9 months now, mainly due to overconsumtion of juice pre bed.
