Hi Victoria, I have been an Usborne Organiser for the past 2 years. I have a toddler so this fits in around him as I can take him with me to schools, nurseries etc to sell the books. The starter kit is only £38 with over £100 of books in it and there are no targets to meet, you just work the hours you want to and you can do it to earn a bit of extra "pocket money" or for a larger income depending on how much time you want to commit. You could try mystery shopping, i do this with retail maxim and get paid from £10 per assignment. Also i have a buisness with utillity warehouse this also btrings in some dosh, drop me an email if you want more info.x

Hiya not sure how you got on with this - but would really look at party plan which was your first idea. Pick something which you think your circle of friends might help you get involved with and go for it.
