Mummy maintenance!
Tell me...how do you do it! Today I had two hours without two of my children and only the baby so I booked a legwax, bikini wax and you name it I was going to wax it. Not sure if it was because swimming with the children was looming or because my husband wan't really enjoying getting into bed with 'chewy' every night!!! Anyway, off I went armed with baby, muzzy and bottle - I started with 5 month old in her car seat, I then moved onto 'on my knee' whilst the beautician still said nothing, not even 'what's her name' or 'how old is she'. After 10 mins of crying and both the beautician and I getting slightly stressed I reached for the bottle which did the job beautifully until she asked me to turn over! I dutifully did and now reached on my tummy into the carseat with said bottle!!! By this stage I had had enough, I let her finish that leg, did without all other necessaries and passed her my card (without even asking how much) and said i'd punch the pin in on my way out... Well, NEVER AGAIN!!!! How the **** does anyone else manage? Please help

Your Time!
Hello Foxy1.What a nightmare! I like to book and look forward to my hair or beauty appointments as it's a welcome break from the kids, and much needed time for me- plus everyone benefits from my better relaxed mood aswell as obviously the maintained hair and body. Hubby has suggested the hairdresser do home visits, or get someone I know to do my pedicure, but when I pointed out he goes to the gym 4 times a week, boxing training twice a week and gets to eat all meals un-interrupted-not to mention the fail safe "your body didn't have to carry 3 children AND push them into the world, then get back into pre-baby clothes, trying not to mourn my old pert boobs and smooth flat tummy" I think it's only fair that every few weeks I do what I like to without the boys. It's all booked in advance so he can't moan, and in the meantime I use a little time in the evening to have a relaxing bath and use the loofah, razor, and my creams when the boys go to bed.I used to be glamorous and high maintenance, then with each child and obviously less time-(and sleep!),compromises have had to be made, but I like to think that it can never be said that i've let myself go.I'm not trying to be a yummy mummy, I just didn't think I had to let go of my identity or change everything about myself because I'm not only responsible for myself now.Hope next time you book something it can be your time, and something to look forward to.P.S it's quick and easy use Clarins foaming shower moose with a razor, it's better than waxing-plus things don't have to grow so much to get a good result especially with swimming in mind!

Luxury Bubble Baths
I think you're brave even taking a baby along with you! I used to love my 'me time' when I went to the hairdressers, it was a lovely break away from the children, having time to pamper me. It didn't happen as often as I would have liked but family were great in having the little ones, then I would reciprocate and have their littles ones so they could have the same luxury. It's a lot easier now they're at school. In the meantime, when they go to bed you'll have to make the most of the luxury bubble baths at home.
