Austrain Skibus

Ski Slope in Austria

If you're skiing in Austria, book your transfer on the seasonal ‛Skibus' service that connects passengers to Innsbruck with the top Alpine resorts of St. Anton, Ischgl and Soelden.

Between 27 November 2008 and 19 April 2009, the Skibus will connect with Austrian flights to Innsbruck to offer passengers a seamless service to all three resorts, twice daily, Thursday to Sunday, in both directions.

The service is scheduled to take approximately one and a half hours from Innsbruck to each of the three resorts and is timed to connect with Austrian's flights, including perfect connections from London. From plane to bus there is a minimum connection time of 25 minutes while from bus to plane the connection time is only one hour.

You have to book the bus at the same time as the flight and will be quote a through fare, with child and baby discounts as per the flight. The service is supposed to drop off at the tourist office in each resort but hotel drop offs can be negotiated with the operator, especially for families. Expect to pay around €63 one way, per adult, from Innsbruck to Soelden, up to €88 to Ischgl. It's not cheap, but cheaper than a taxi. www.austrian.com
