Male nannies are the latest Hollywood trend - both Britney Spears and Gwyneth Paltrow have hired a hunky manny and a Hollywood blockbuster film about the subject is also in production.

Our survey also found that far fewer fathers would be less concerned with a handsome manny than vice versa - so everyone's a winner.

The only problem is, childcare is still very much a female-oriented industry - and the demand for mannies is currently outstripping supply.

And the most important factor to remember is that you want the best person for the job - no matter what their sex or what they look like.

Whenever we have placed a manny the feedback from the family has been fantastic and they often become the envy of their friends.

So if you manage to get your hands on a manny - metaphorically speaking, of course - hold on tight.
