What is it:

The Britax Safefix Plus is a group 1 car seat suitable from around 9 months to 4 years. It features the Isofix system which anchors the seat directly to the car, a pivot link system, rachet system, side impact system, a click and safe harness, and lots of other safety and comfort features.

When we first looked at the seat, we thought that it would be difficult to install, but the instructions were very clear and easy to follow. There is also picture diagrams to follow and so we were reassured that the car seat was fitted correctly. After we had installed the seat, my husband checked to see that it was secure and the seat didn't move at all, it was solid and going nowhere! The seat is very well constructed with a solid feel and the chair fabric is soft and hardwearing. There are some great features to this car seat - we especially like the padded head support that completely protects the child's head. The harness is connected to the head support and so to adjust the height of the harness you only have pull the head support forward and move it up or down to the correct position, this is a great design and save loads of time.

There is also a click safe system, which gives an audible clicking noise when the shoulder harness reaches the correct tension, which is reassuring to know that the harness is fitted properly. The harness is very well made, it has a section of dense foam backing, so it is really comfortable and soft and would protect the child's chest in any accident. The seat can be reclined easily by pulling a leaver on the front of the seat and the seat reclines low enough for the child to rest easily. The seat comes out of the box ready to fix into an isofix system or alternatively using the seat belt. Another extra which made life easier was the little pockets on the sides to push the harness clips into while baby is being put in (instead of being sat on!).

When we sat our little boy in the seat for the first time he looked so small, it made us realise how vulnerable our little ones are in an accident, but with this seat, we really feel that he is very well protected. I have recommended this car seat to my friends!
